Jungels: "I'm very moved and proud"

Bob Jungels (Quick-Step Floors): “It’s the greatest one day race to me, the most beautiful. As a Luxemburghese, I had lots of supporters cheering for me and my family also came to see me racing, so it’s very special to win here. I’m very moved and proud. It’s a dream come true. I made the most of my time-trial abilities in the finale. I needed to be very careful with how I used my strength, especially when we got to Saint-Nicolas. I couldn’t push too deep. And then I still feared being caught in the finale. It was the longest kilometre in my life. I only saw I could win when I entered the last curve, not before! The way Andy (Schleck) won here with his solo attack. I didn’t speak with him in the last weeks but I had this race in my mind. Yesterday, we watched videos from the last editions with Julian, especially from Philippe (Gilbert) and Andy (Schleck). It’s very emotional to take over after such a champion.”
